Metal Roofing

Metal Roofs offer homeowners a sleek, modern roof that is durable, energy-efficient, and fire-resistant. Compared to traditional asphalt shingles, metal is far more durable and long-lasting. When properly installed and maintained, a normal metal roof can last anywhere from 25 to 50 years.

Standing Seam

Red Letter Roofing specializes in standing seam metal roofs. Standing seam metal roofs have a concealed fastener roofing system. It is one of the most durable and weather-tight roof systems available. Its concealed fastener design ensures that the fasteners aren’t exposed to the elements which could cause them to fail over time. Since these panels are attached to the roof deck with clamps, they’re free of any holes from nails or other fasteners which could allow moisture to seep through.

The most common gauges for metal roofing are 26 and 24-gauge. The vast majority of Red Letter Roofing installations are 24 gauge standing seam. In coastal area homes, we use .032 aluminum with stainless steel fasteners and clips to avoid rust formation from salt air. Exposed fastener panels for homes also come in 29, 26, or 24-gauge.

Kynar 500® Finish

All Red Letter Roofing metal roofs have a Kynar 500 finish. Kynar 500® PVDF resin-based coating is a fluoropolymer system. The key to its effectiveness lies in the carbon/fluorine bond, which is one of the strongest bonds known to man. This bond enables Kynar brand to defend against chemical, thermal, and UV damage.

Kynar 500® resin-based finishes outshine acrylic, polyester, silicone polyester, and urethane finishes across the board. It retains color longer and it resists fading, cracking, chalking, and peeling. Roof finish guarantees your roof looks vibrant and withstands even the harshest weather conditions.
